What are we doing in Frankfurt am Main in the middle of the week? We're winning industry awards! In fact, we've won two gold awards with ICO.Link at the IdA Awards (Insurance Innovation Awards). But let's start at the beginning: what kind of award is this and what did we receive it for?

 

The Insurance Innovation Award is a prestigious award presented by Versicherungsmagazin and Morgen & Morgen GmbH. As the name suggests, it recognises bold, innovative and sustainable developments in and for the insurance industry.

 

Charmingly hosted by editor-in-chief Anja Schüür-Lagkau and co-managing director Christian Jaffke, we were invited to a Hessian-inspired lunch buffet (green sauce! Frankfurter Kranz cake!) and were awarded the highest accolade in both categories in which we competed. Incidentally, we were the only company that is not directly an insurance company.

 

With our ICOLink platform, we help insurers to exchange information about their policyholders. This enables them to detect illegal multiple insurance policies or non-transparent previous insurance policies, for example. Thanks to state-of-the-art cryptography, the information is exchanged in full compliance with data protection regulations – a development that clearly deserves to be described as ‘innovative’, and not just in our opinion.
