Digital Lighthouse Insurance 2024 in Cologne:
ICO-LUX wins!

We are winners in the category ‘Increasing efficiency - artificial intelligence, process optimisation, claims and cost management’

The Süddeutsche Zeitung is a symbol of good journalism in Germany. A lighthouse is a symbol for orientation and safety. And we at ICO-LUX have been winners of the Süddeutsche Zeitung Verlag's Lighthouse Award 2024 since yesterday evening!

What exactly was it about and what were we honoured for?

This is the 12th time that the DIGITALE LEUCHTTURM Versicherungen has honoured ‘innovative ideas, projects and solutions in the digitalisation of the insurance industry’ and is looking in particular for solutions that have positive effects for insurance customers through digitalisation.

As there was even a category for ‘Increasing efficiency - artificial intelligence, process optimisation, claims and cost management’, we thought to ourselves in September: let's go! The clever business editorial team around Lisa Nienhaus must hear about us and our ICO.Fraud solution!

After all, fraud costs insurance companies billions every year. However, this is never made completely transparent, but rather passed on to the costs of insurance policies. Our software helps to combat this.

ICO-LUX was founded on the basis of science and is not just ‘something with AI’, but we combine and expand technologies from the fields of computer vision, artificial intelligence and cryptography. This enables insurance companies to detect fake invoices and make more accurate payouts without wasting time. Our technology is also interesting for banks, as it enables them to make better decisions when granting loans because they can distinguish between correct and fictitious proof of salary more quickly.

The Board of Trustees, consisting of renowned insurance experts and business and consumer journalists, obviously found this just as exciting as we and our satisfied customers do. And so an already incredibly successful year ended last night in Cologne with one of the most prestigious awards the industry has to offer.

Our heartfelt thanks therefore go to Herbert Fromme (Süddeutsche Zeitung), Lars Hinrichs (Cinco Capital), Karsten John (infas quo) and Hermann-Josef Tenhagen (Finanztip). Congratulations also go to the other award-winning projects from ERGO AG and PROTH!NX.

And congratulations PLUS a big thank you? To ourselves!!! To our entire ICO-LUX team for once!
